June 2025 federal recall — packaging violation
On June 26, 2025, iHerb recalled about 60,000 bottles and blister packs of California Gold Nutrition iron supplements, including Daily Prenatal Multi batches 2307050A, 2404096A and 2411100A, because the packaging violated the Poison Prevention Packaging Act’s child-resistant standard. The hazard was potential iron poisoning if young children accessed the contents; no injuries were reported and the remedy was a refund. This was a packaging-compliance recall, not a contamination finding.
