In November 2021, P&G voluntarily recalled all U.S. lots (expiry through September 2023) of specified Old Spice and Secret aerosol antiperspirants — including Secret Powder Fresh aerosol — after benzene, a human carcinogen, was detected, traced to the spray propellant. FDA lists the recall as completed and terminated, and cans sold today postdate it, but it remains this product line’s documented safety record.
