A fragrance-free ceramide-and-niacinamide face moisturizer whose current US formula is unusually short: water, glycerin, squalane, dimethicone, corn starch and skin-identical lipids, preserved with caprylyl glycol rather than a conventional preservative. The earlier version’s isobutane-filled polymer microspheres are gone from the current label — the cleanest mainstream formula we scored in this category.

The current label lists ammonium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate, a synthetic acrylamide-family polymer used as a texturizer. The polymer itself is considered inert; the debate concerns trace residual monomers left over from manufacturing, not the finished ingredient. This is a minor, theoretical concern at cosmetic levels.
