This is a propellant-driven aerosol; tetrafluoropropene is listed on the label. In July 2021 FDA posted J&J’s voluntary recall of five Neutrogena and Aveeno aerosol sunscreen lines after benzene was detected in some samples — a contamination issue associated with aerosol propellant systems generally, not with any specific UV filter. Blue Lizard products were not part of any benzene recall.
